This is an original screenplay for a short film called "Scene Missing". The story was inspired by a comment from film director James Cameron who once noticed that the only people who ever got to handle the valuable negatives and original sound recordings of his feature films were always the lowest paid members of the production team (runners, lab assistants etc.) With this premise as a starting point, "Scene Missing" looks at the possible crime of 'neg theft' and what would happen if a major motion picture was held to ransom by an irate Soho runner... one precious frame at a time... |
