   Design  
    Though not strictly an animation as such, this is a Flash-based 3D viewer showing the design of one of the Codex high-resolution media recorder's twin DiskPacks.

The 36 images making up the 'draggable' 3D image were rendered out of the SolidWorks CAD package used to design the DiskPacks themselves, textured/detailed in Photoshop, and a custom 'virtual' image viewer was written using Flash ActionScript.

...and not a QuickTime plugin in sight...
